Iquique - Clearance

Check-in here is reported to be straightforward and inexpensive.

Once berthed at the yacht club, representatives from every agency (Customs, Immigration, Port Captain, Armada, Agriculture, etc.) will come to your boat to complete all the necessary paperwork.

Cruisers report the following about clearance here:

  • No pilot is required when entering
  • No Clearance Agent is required
  • No request for proof of Insurance
  • Authorities will ask if you have any fruits/vegetables on board and may confiscate fresh items.
  • Total cost for inward clearance here (March 2017), reported being US$25.
