It is possible to anchor in Castro, however, take care leaving your boat unattended. See Related User Comments.
The marina at Quinched is a good, safe and sheltered place to visit. It is isolated - 15 kms (nine miles) from Castro, and 12 kms (seven miles) from Chonchi. However, there are a few bar/cafes nearby for breakfast/lunch.
The marina has mooring buoys as well as pontoon berths.
