There are several large supermarkets out of town, which on the whole are open 0900-2100 Monday to Saturday.

Next, to the Hiper Dino Valterra (C/Benito Pérez Galdós), there is a new big Mercadona (around 20-minute walk from the marina).

There is also a Hiper Dino on the main road south towards the airport and another Mercadona in Playa Honda industrial area (Polígono Industrial Playa Honda, Parcela 60). Also in the industrial area is the English supermarket “Overseas”, which opened its doors in 2015.

The largest supermarket in Arrecife town is behind the post office in Calle Canaleja 2, Plaza de la Constitucion, with a good selection including fresh bread, fruit and vegetables, delicatessen and a meat counter. Further along the same street, near the Club Nautico, is Supermercado Marcial. Also in Calle Canaleja are shops selling frozen meat and other foodstuffs.

There is also a large Eurospar and Lidl about 5 minutes away from the marina by car (25 minutes walk).

Boutique del Pan Jonay, close to the post office, sells fresh bread, open 0730-2130 daily.

The local Arrecife market is held on Saturday mornings in the San Ginés square next to the San Ginés church. Plenty of locally-produced fruit and vegetables and homemade bread and conserves can be bought here.
