Retesting in progress

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

The fisherman's cooperative (Cofradia Nuestra Senora de las Nieves) has a 70-ton travel lift, which operates in the fishing harbor. Visiting yachts can use it, although propping up keeled boats may be a problem. Use of the boatyard should be arranged through the marina office. The Cofradia office (Tel. 922 411 902) open 1600-2000 Monday to Friday, 0800-1300 Saturday, is in one of the low buildings south of the travelift. The travel fees are 12 euros per meter LOA in and out and payment is required in advance. A new boatyard is planned in the area immediately to the north of the new marina.
The fisherman's cooperative will advise on the relevant specialists. The Cofradia can advise on a good local diesel mechanic. The showers by the Cofradia office may be used by anyone working in the yard. Carpentry work is available in the fishing harbor, but most other workshops are in La Portada, a small industrial estate overlooking the harbor. A road and steps lead up to an area of small workshops dealing with welding, electrical repairs, and engines. Repair facilities are rather better in the town of Los Llanos, inland from Tazacorte [Broken Link]on the west coast.
