Norman Island - Docking

Jun 01, 2018

The famous Willie T floating bar was wrecked on the beach during the 2017/18 hurricane season and has now reopened in a new location at Great Harbour on Peter Island.

Anchorages

The Bight at Norman Island is a favorite anchorage and is often the first stop on many itineraries.

There were at least 60 moorings in the Bight and many may still be in place but should be properly checked for reliability before using. Anchoring spots are quite hard to find.

There are also moorings in Soldier Bay, Benures Bay, and Privateer Bay.

Kelly's Cove, just round from the Bight, is quieter with a few moorings. Anchoring can be tricky due to the coral. Snorkeling is good here and you can dinghy to the caves.

Monkey Bay, on the southern coast, is a fairly protected anchorage and there is a day anchorage at Treasure Point.
