Cooper Island - Docking

Jul 28, 2019

Manchioneel Bay is very sheltered from the prevailing winds and being a natural stop along the island chain leading to The Baths at Virgin Gorda, is also very popular. Arrive early to get a mooring.

Moor-Seacure Ltd owns and operates 22 white mooring balls in Manchioneel Bay suitable for vessels up to 60ft in length and 20 net tons. These moorings are available on a first-come-first-served basis only and cannot be reserved in advance.  They are often full by midday.  Moorings can be paid for at Cooper Island Beach Club which has two dinghy docks.

Moor-SeaCure have also launched a new scheme with www.BoatyBall.com and now have eight orange balls at the south end of the mooring field that can be reserved through their website: https://boatyball.com/howto.html

Buoys at Cooper Island Beach Club, Leverick Bay Resort and Anegada Reef Hotel can be reserved in advance if you take out a BoatyBall membership.

Anchoring is only permitted outside the mooring field beyond the seagrass. Manchioneel Bay is one of the Department of Conservation & Fisheries’ Sea Grass monitoring sites.
