Big Creek / Placencia - Clearance

General Process:

Clearance procedures are completed in Big Creek, the secure port on the mainland. All the needed offices (Immigration, Customs, Health, Port) are located a few hundred feet from each other outside of the port gates.

It's impossible to dock or anchor at Big Creek, so instead anchor or dock at Placencia and take either:

• the water taxi to Mango Creek. From Mango Creek you will need to take a taxi to the offices (takes approx. 3 hours, so aim to catch the 10:00 water taxi);
• rent a car (Big Creek is approx. 1.5 hrs from Placencia);
