The shelter is good in the harbor here, but the approach can be dangerous in on-shore winds above F5.
Visitor pontoons are split between the Old Yacht Harbor, which is to port, past the fishing vessels and the new harbor and marina which is to starboard.
The berthing is controlled by the three Yacht Clubs.

For boat emergencies, call Belgium Coastguard on VHF Channel 16 or 67. They will contact Vrijwillige Blankenbergse Zeereddingsdienst (VBZR), the local volunteer search and rescue organisation.
