Butane only. LPG refills are available by taking the bottles to a fuel station and leaving them there. This usually takes 3 to 5 days, sometimes 2 weeks.
In Angra do Heroismo the most reliable place is in the NE corner of the car park situated a little to the west of the main post office. It is not a fuel station, but a distribution point for LPG bottles.
