There are many marinas which are included in this section of coast which stretches from Gold Coast city itself, through Southport and Hope Island to Woongoolba which is opposite the southern end of North Stradbroke Island.
Much of the area is protected by off-lying island and provides many sheltered anchorages in addition to the numerous marinas.
