The combined presence of an active racing and cruising community and a large fishing fleet has resulted in an excellent range of repair facilities unequaled for thousands of miles. Workshops, chandleries and service units offer a comprehensive range of marine repair facilities in the mooring basin area. The CBD is a five-minute walk up the hill. Most essential spare parts are available, as are nautical charts for local and neighboring waters.
Careening poles are available at the Dinah Beach Yacht Club for those who prefer to do their own work between tides. This is also possible at the Darwin Sailing Club which has its own careening piles.
