Sønderborg is the principal town on the island of Als, which lies just off the mainland, in the area of the Baltic known as The Little Belt. This pretty town has one of the most beautiful harbors in Denmark. It also boasts of ‘cozy’ shopping streets as well as a large variety of restaurants and historical buildings.
