Kenya Yacht Clearance Fees

Immigration:

• The single entry eTA fee is USD$35.00 per traveller, plus bank and processing fees.
• The multiple entry eTA fee is USD$160 per traveller, plus bank and processing fees

Customs:

USD$3 for Customs entry paperwork.

Port Health:

USD$10 - no receipt. They will inspect your boat.

Transire:

4,000 KES.

Other Fees:

• Overtime is charged on weekends and holidays.
• There are light dues and government charges - which change frequently.
• Foreign yachts have to pay harbor charges, which may work out cheaper if bought for one year in advance unless one intends to spend only a short time in Kenya.
• A navigation fee of approximately US$10 is payable when clearing out.

Marine Parks and Reserves

Kenya's coastline includes a number of designated Marine Parks, National Reserves and Conservation Areas. It is advisable to familiarise yourself with where these are, along with the various restrictions and fees. See the following report from Sarah Ovens of SV Excelsior.
