Description:
Awaji Island (Awaji-Shima) is the eastern boundary of the Seto Inland Sea and is connected both at the northern and southern ends by impressive suspension bridges.
Sumoto lies on the eastern side of the island, about 10nm across Osaka Bay from Wakayama.
