Maddalena Archipelago - General Info

Description:

The group of islands making up the Maddalena archipelago lie off the northeast tip of Sardinia, opposite Palau. The southern end of Corsica is just 7 km to the north.

Only two of the islands are inhabited and they are a popular destination for day tourists.

The whole archipelago is a protected National Park and a permit is required to visit. See Clearance for details.

There are anchorage/mooring buoy options as well as several marinas.

Entrance Notes and Cautions:

Winds and sea states vary enormously around these islands. The heights of the land causing wind funnels, as well as wind shadows.
