Find out all you need to know at the Government Pet Import Information.

Any pet dog, cat or ferret that is more than four months old can be brought to Israel. Dogs and cats must be marked with an electronic chip.

Pets can only be imported through the permitted import ports according
to regulations, which are Ben Gurion Airport, Haifa Port, Ashdod Port
and Eilat Port.

Paperwork required:

  • Import license.
  • Veterinary certificate as a proof of vaccination against rabies.

Dangerous dog breeds that are prohibited for importation are: American Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Amstaff), Bull Terrier, Argentine Dog, Japanese Tossa, Staffordshire Bull Terrier (English Staff), Pit Bull Terrier, Brazilian fillet and Rottweiler.
