Arriving By Yacht:

On arrival you will be checked in by both Customs and Immigration, normally in a designated area of the port for visiting yachts.

Length of Stay:

Foreign yachts can remain in Israel for one year before being subject to import tax on the boat (and the authorities determine the value of the boat). The tax base is 33.5%.

Other Items:

Firearms must be declared and the boat is likely to be checked for explosives.

The import of fresh meat, some fruits and vegetables are prohibited.

Approval by Customs is required to take the following items into Israel:

  • flowers
  • plants and seeds
  • prescription drugs
  • all animals,
  • knives or penknives not intended for professional or household use.

If you're bringing money, including cash, bills, bank cheques, travelers’ cheques, bearer securities, negotiable instruments, and payment cards into or out of Israel you may need to declare it. If you don't declare it you may be fined and face criminal charges.
