In May 2022 all Covid-related travel restrictions were lifted.

History:

  • Israel closed its borders in April 2020 to all foreign recreational maritime traffic. Only Israeli boats can enter Israel.
  • Only Israeli citizens and foreigners with special permits, such as diplomats, were allowed to enter the country.
  • November 1st, 2021, air borders began to re-open to a restricted number of countries.
  • Since January 9, 2022, tourists have been permitted to travel to Israel from all countries by land and sea.
  • As of January 6, 2022, there are no countries on the Red List.
  • From March 1, 2022, all tourists from all countries (regardless of vaccination status) can enter the country, but testing prior to and on arrival was required.
  • In May 2022 all restrictions were lifted.
