Jul 13, 2023

Immigration Procedure:

For Immigration formalities see Hong Kong Immigration Clearance of Pleasure Vessels.

Passports must be valid for six months beyond the proposed stay in Hong Kong.

Citizens of most countries are allowed a visa-free stay varying from seven days to 90 days. British citizens are allowed 180 days. Most nationalities are permitted 90 days. See Official Hong Kong site for the complete list.

Those allowed visa-free stays may be required to show proof of adequate funds for their stay.

Other Visa Information:

Immigration regulations are different from those for travel to mainland China, where everyone must arrive with a visa obtained in advance. The situation in Hong Kong is far more relaxed.

Notes:

Some form of photo identification such as a passport should always be carried while in Hong Kong.

See Hong Kong Immigration Clearance of Pleasure Vessels for the full details.
