Honduras - Documents

Apr 17, 2025

Documents required are:

  • a complete crew list (in Spanish)
  • the passports of all on board (original)
  • the ship’s papers (original)
  • zarpe or exit paper from previous port (original)
  • a photograph of the yacht (possibly)

Have some copies of all documents available, should they be requested.

Cruising Permit:

Cruising yachts in Honduras need a cruising permit which is issued on arrival by the Port Captain at the port of entry.

He/she will likely visit the boat and take exterior photos (unless you can provide them with a photo), plus copies of the completed forms, which are then forwarded to the main office. A cruising permit will then be issued.

Cruising permits are issued for 90 days and can be extended.
