The Ebola outbreak in the neighbouring countries has been controlled and the situation reduced to surveillance and monitoring.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.

Mosquito-Borne Diseases:

Malaria and other tropical diseases including the Zika virus are present in Guinea-Bissau.  It is advisable to take the appropriate precautions when travelling in high-risk areas.

Food and Water Concerns:

The country sees repeated cholera outbreaks and continues to be at a high risk of further outbreaks.

You should take particular care with uncooked foods or raw fruits and vegetables. Drink or use only boiled or bottled water and avoid ice in drinks.
