Grenada Yacht Fees

Grenada uses Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$). All charges noted are in EC$. Always ask for an official receipt for any monies paid.

  • 0-39ft - EC$50.00
  • 40-59ft - EC$75.00
  • 60-79ft - EC$100.00
  • More than 80ft - EC$150.00
These charges are per month or any part there of. If you haul out you're eligible for suspension of Cruising Permit fees for the duration of your boat's time on the hard for any full month(s). See Documents for full details on Cruising Permits.

Customs and Immigration can take debit/credit cards if there is a machine working, however it is wise to have some cash in case payment by card is not possible.

Note: Port Louis Marina is the only marina with an on-site ATM.

Cruise Levy/Immigration (per person)

  • EC$8.10 (this is waived for the Captain/Skipper)

Other Fees

  • Immigration officers are paid EC$19.60 per hour on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays for overtime.

Immigration Fees

When you first arrive in Grenada, an Immigration Officer will give you an entry stamp of up to 90 days free of charge.

An Extension of Visitor's Permit costs EC$75.00 per month (or any part thereof) for each person.

The Immigration Office cashier closes at 3 pm while the main offices close at 4 pm. However, it is now possible to pay online at the Grenada Government Online Payment Portal.

See Immigration for full details on how to extend your stay. Remember: The Extension of Visitor's Permits has to be done at the Government Immigration Offices rather than at the marina Port of Entry Offices and Cruising Permits have to be paid up first (which is done at the Port of Entry Offices).

Port Authority Fees

Navigation Aids Fee: Yachts under 50' LOA per entry - EC$30.00 Yachts 50'-100' LOA per entry - EC$45.00 Yachts over 100' LOA per entry - EC$55.00 Issue of Port Clearance Document - EC$15.00

Departure Fees

Crew arriving by plane and leaving by boat, are required to pay an Embarkation Tax of EC$20 per person, to the marina offices at the time of requesting departure clearance. The Embarkation Tax is also levied on each person aboard who is not ‘bone fide’ crew - passengers and those not involved in the operation of the yacht. Typically this will not be levied on a cruising ‘couple’ running their yacht, but may be levied on any additional people on board. This tax is applied at the discretion of the Immigration Officer. Arriving by boat and departing by plane, the Embarkation Tax is included in the price of the plane ticket. Note: An official receipt should be issued for all monies paid. Last updated: November 2024
