As in mainland France, French Guiana uses the Euro.
Bank cards are widely accepted in the main cities (Visa, EurocCard, MasterCard, American Express, etc.). Cash is king outside the cities.
Banks are generally open Monday to Friday from 08:00-12:00 and 14:30-17:00. They are closed on Wednesday afternoons.
