History:

  • On April 2020, French Guiana officially closed its borders to all visiting yachts except those with an EU flag. Non-EU yachts were permitted to stop for supplies.
  • The authorities are very reasonable and entry is now permitted on a case-by-case basis to all nationalities with testing on arrival.
  • In late June 2021, authorities in St. Laurent relaxed the rules for arriving yachts that have been at sea for more than a week.
  • March 2022 all entry restrictions were lifted.
