Falklands pound (£). This is not legal tender in the UK, but pounds sterling can be used in the Falklands. Money can be exchanged at the Standard Chartered Bank, Ross Road, Port Stanley. Falklands £s cannot be changed for sterling or other currencies outside of the islands.
Many retail outlets accept credit cards and you can obtain cash advances on credit and debit cards at the bank (but not American Express or Diners Club etc.)
The only bank on the islands is in Stanley.
There is an ATM at the Stanley Services fuel station.
