Naestved - General Info

Description:

Naestved is located on the island of Zealand on the Susa River in the South of Denmark and includes the island of Gavno in the Karrebaek Fjord. At the entrance to the Fjord lies Karrebæksminde, a small fishing village with a marina and nearby boatyard.

The port is a municipal self-governing owned by Næstved Municipality. The harbor consists of a number of basins, which in the direction from NE to SW are the following: Vestre Havnebassin, Svajebassin and Søndre Havnebassin.

A 4.5 cm long, dug canal with a bottom width of 20 m leads through Karrebæksminde Harbor and Karrebæk Fjord; further through a canal, where the bottom width is 16 m, to Næstved.
