Whilst the Channel Islands are outside of the VAT area, Jersey has a GST ("Goods and Services Tax"), which is currently (June 2017) at 5%. This also applies to items purchased elsewhere (i.e., online) and couriered into Jersey. It is possible to get a GST refund if leaving on a regularly scheduled flight through the airport: keep good documentation and receipts of purchases.
