Canaries Yacht Fees

Clearance Fees

There are no clearance fees or overtime fees as clearance is done during office hours.

Other Fees

Recreational Yacht Fees:

1. Tasa de Ayuda a la navigation (Navigational assistance rates or the "lighthouse tax")
Light dues are payable throughout Spain (and the Canary Islands). This tax is charged as a daily rate to transient foreign yachts. In many public marinas (Las Palmas Marina for example), this tax is included in the docking fee. It applies to boats over 12m (sailing) and over 9m (motor). This fee may vary depending on the island.

2. Tasa de Embarcaciones deportivas y de recreo (Recreational vessel rates)
This is the docking charge for state-owned marinas, charged by the day as well - again for vessels over 12m. IGIC of 7% is added. Again, the fee may vary, depending on the island.

Sales Tax:

Although the Islands are in the EU, they are outside the EU Customs territory, so VAT is not applied here. Instead, there is a specific Sales Tax (IGIC) which has a general rate of 7%. This is applied to most bills, including marina fees.
