Description:
Puerto Calero is situated just SW of Puerto del Carmen on Lanzarote's south-east coast. The harbour is well sheltered from the waves and there are plenty of spaces for yachts. The harbour infrastructure is very good and it is a great place for exploring the island.
A preferred base in the Canaries for leaving boats unattended for any length of time or for undertaking repairs. Despite many restaurants and a fully-equipped yard, the area is quiet and relaxed.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
Contact the Marina via telephone on +34 928 511285 or on VHF Channel 9 to announce your arrival. The approach and entry to the marina are very straight-forward with no hazards and a minimum of 7m depth in the entry channel. The marina opens towards the SW and is identified by a tower light at the end of the south breakwater and a portside channel marker and a red light set into the end of the dock wall. With only a maximum 3m tidal range, the marina can be safely accessed at all times, day and night.
