Khao Kong - General Info

Where is Khao Kong?

Khao Kong lies a short distance south of the border with Thailand (not to be confused with the island of Kho Kong a few miles south of the town). This is a relatively undeveloped part of the country and the city previously had the reputation of being a 'wild west' type of town. The town and west mainland are joined by a bridge.  Now, the province is an increasingly popular gateway to Cambodia from eastern Thailand. The border is at Cham Yeam, about 14 km from Khao Kong.
