  • June 2025:  Note added on finalisation of transfer of sovereignty to Mauritius.
  • March 2025: Alert added re. delays in processing with official response from BIOT and clearance updated.
  • December 2024:  Latest news update re the Mauritius Prime Minister's reservation about the deal.
  • October 2024:  Alert added that UK is handing the Chagos Islands back to Mauritius.
  • July 2024:  Updated with new permit fee applicable from July 1, 2024.
  • June 2024:  Email address and Fees update by BIOT Administration Office, London.
  • July 2021: Covid protocols streamlined and updated and all Formalities confirmed as up to date by BIOTA.
  • July 2021: Vandalism warning notice posted as requested by BIOT Administration.
  • February 2021: Covid protocols updated now BIOT open.
  • March 2020: Covid protocols added to biosecurity.
  • January 2019: Update to BIOT links and add to Restrictions.
