Where is Burnie?

Burnie is the fourth largest city in Tasmania, serving as a major port for north-western agricultural and mining industries. It is situated about 25NM northwest of Devonport on Tasmania's northern coast.

For nature lovers or those just wanting to stretch their legs, there are several waterfalls on the city’s edge, beautiful bushwalks and on the way into (or out of) town there’s the stunning 12-hectare Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden. Also nearby are the Fernglade Platypus Sanctuary and a Penguin Observation area.
