Description:
Tin Can Bay lies on the Queensland coast opposite the southern tip of Fraser Island, which is the site of the Great Sandy National Park. The port lies approximately 65nm south of Bundaberg.
The harbour at Hervey Bay, Urangan lies about 25nm north of Tin Can Bay and well known for its whale watching.
