Arriving in Argentina with a Pet Onboard

To bring your dog and/or cat to Argentina, your pet(s) must:

  • have an International Veterinary Certificate (CVI) issued, signed and sealed by the veterinary authority of the country in which the animal is located must be presented (one of the languages ​​of this CVI must be Spanish).
  • The Argentina Authorities (SENASA) accept an official passport in place of the International Veterinary Certificate (CVI).

The CVI/Passport must contain the health requirements detailed below:

  • Health Certificate - issued ten days before the CVI, certifies an animal's clinical health, absence of parasitosis, and transport suitability.
  • Rabies Vaccination - Dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies.
  • Deworming - Your pet(s) must be treated against internal and external parasites within fifteen (15) days before the issuance of the CVI or passport intervention.
