Trans Ocean was founded in 1968 and aims to promote offshore sailing. Based in Cuxhaven, Germany, the club has over 5,000 members. These include several hundred sailings around the world, plus a worldwide network of 200 community-run bases, supporting cruisers. Every 3 months they publish a magazine and regularly organize seminars and events.
