The medieval castle in Sønderborg is where King Christian II was imprisoned in 1530. The castle is now a museum with collections of historical material and art. Dates back to the middle ages and has been greatly restored over the last 30 years. It contains collections from Slesvig Wars and the First and Second World Wars, also antiquities and local historical relics
