Headquartered in USA and with their operations base in Fiji, Sea Mercy is an humanitarian organizations with several project categories that welcome the skillsets that are second nature to cruisers.
With over 20,000 islands spread across 11,000,000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean, there are no roads, power lines, or phone systems to connect the smaller, less populated remote islands to the same services offered on the larger islands.
Consequently, these more remote islanders are left without even the most basic of services. Sea Mercy is there to "stand in the gap" and work with the local governments and international aid organizations to help support them with Disaster Response, Last Mile Logistics, Clean Water & Solar power Initiatives and Medical Outreach Programmes.
Cruisers in the South Pacific are welcome to participate, whether long term, periodically, or in a quick response mode.
