The Yacht Club maintains visitor moorings very close to the western end of Muelle Bay, next to the town. If you don't want to use a visitor mooring, safe anchorage can be found at Boquete Bay or Dalaruan Bay, but please take great care when anchoring so as not to disturb the protected corals and the indigenous giant clams.

The Puerto Galera Yacht Club hosts two significant regattas annually: Easter Regatta, the longest-running event in the Philippines, and All Souls Regatta, coinciding with the All Saints/Souls Holiday. IRC Racers, Racer-Cruiser, Cruiser, and Multihull classes are all welcome in these events. The three-day regattas, starting from Muelle Bay and ending at Haligi Beach, feature daily races visiting various islands and beaches along the Verde Island Passage.
As part of its advocacy, the Yacht Club established a sailing school in 2003, providing free lessons to local children, with many graduates earning international trophies and pursuing careers on yachts worldwide.
