Established in 1857, Nelson Yacht Club is the oldest sailing club in New Zealand. The club shares its sailing waters with Port Nelson shipping, large fishing vessels and other recreational users.
Nelson and Tasman Bay have some of the best sailing waters in the country. However, it can be a challenging venue to sail from, with strong tides, a busy commercial fishing and container port.
