Please note: outboard motors are at risk here (as well in as the Comoros & Madagascar), especially small outboards around 4 – 5 Horsepower, and in any condition. The small ones are popular because they can be fitted to canoes. Thieves come equipped with tools, so locking them up is ineffective. Advice is to never leave your dinghy in the water overnight.
