Locked dinghy and outboard thefts continue to be a problem in the lagoon. It is advisable to lift and chain and lock your dinghy and outboard at night and sleep with your doors and hatches locked when at anchor or on a mooring. Do not assume that marinas and docks are safe as well – unsecured dinghies are an easy target so always err on the side of caution and securely lock your dinghy and outboard to deter any would-be thieves.
