Noonsite Information-Sharing Network (ISN)

Over the years, Noonsite has built strong relationships with organizations and individuals across the cruising community, including cruising associations, authors, grassroots initiatives, marine-service providers, yacht rallies, tourism boards, government agencies, port authorities, and more. These trusted contacts have been essential in helping us with verifying intel and keeping our platform accurate and up to date.

In June 2025, we formalized some of these partnerships into the Information Sharing Network (ISN). The ISN allows members to share insights, collaborate, and respond quickly to developments affecting cruisers worldwide. Our goal is simple: to give long-distance sailors the most reliable, up-to-date information so they can navigate safely and confidently.

Through the ISN, participating organizations help each other stay informed about changing regulations, port developments, and key news across the globe, benefiting all their readers, users, and members.

We extend our sincere thanks to all our partners for their dedication to Noonsite and the global cruising community and to the ISN members for collaborating on crucial information sharing.

ISN Participating Organizations

As part of the World Cruising Club family, Noonsite benefits from direct, on-the-ground feedback provided by World Cruising Club event teams across the globe.

For many years, Noonsite has collaborated with the Caribbean Safety and Security Net to keep cruisers informed about crimes against yachts in the Caribbean basin and to share vital security reports with the cruising community.
Another valued partner in the Caribbean region is Caribbean Compass, a popular magazine among sailors. In addition to sharing news and regulatory updates relevant to visiting yachts, Noonsite contributes a monthly column focused on island formalities.
Doyle Guides provides Caribbean cruisers with detailed harbor and cruising information through their comprehensive printed guides, informative website, and user-friendly app. Noonsite greatly values its collaboration with the Doyle Guides team and appreciates their ongoing support in verifying and sharing accurate cruising intel.
The Ocean Cruising Club (OCC) has been a long-standing information-sharing partner of Noonsite, regularly passing on valuable feedback from its members and drawing on its global network of Port Officers to help address Noonsite’s queries. This relationship became even stronger during the pandemic, as cruising associations, cruiser groups, and Noonsite worked closely together to provide the cruising community with timely updates on border closures and COVID-related regulations.
The Seven Seas Cruising Association (SSCA) has partnered with Noonsite for over 20 years, consistently sharing valuable insights from its members and Cruising Station Hosts, along with important information about the SSCA’s Clean Wake Program. During the pandemic, SSCA played a key role in the collaborative response team—particularly in the Americas and Caribbean—helping to keep cruisers informed and supported.
The Cruising Association (CA) has supported Noonsite for a number of years, particularly through the expertise of its Regulatory & Technical Services group (RATS) and contributions to almanac updates. In 2024, Noonsite collaborated with the CA to publish a series of guidelines titled ‘How to Navigate Orca Alley’, aimed at raising awareness among cruisers planning passages around the Iberian Peninsula of the CA’s important Orca Project.
The founders of the Ocean Sailing Association of Southern Africa (OSASA) have been trusted cruiser contacts of Noonsite for many years. When OSASA was established in 2020 during the pandemic, Noonsite began working closely with the organization to help publicize its efforts in supporting cruisers navigating the oceans and coastal waters of Southern Africa. In particular, OSASA has done outstanding work in streamlining formalities for yachts visiting South Africa. They continue to provide Noonsite with the latest updates from South Africa and the Indian Ocean region.
Island Cruising NZ and Down Under Rally became close partners with Noonsite during the pandemic, although they have been sharing valuable cruiser intel from the southern hemisphere for several years. Island Cruising helps sailors in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific achieve their sailing dreams. They provide advocacy, online training, support and resources for cruisers and run yacht rallies around the South West Pacific. Whether you own a boat already, are planning on buying one soon, or have dreams of sailing offshore someday, membership of Island Cruising can help you save money & learn new skills. When you are ready to head offshore – joining their Pacific Rally gives access to even more support, advice & resources to help make your cruising dreams a reality. Our ongoing collaboration with Island Cruising NZ helps ensure that cruisers worldwide stay informed about the latest developments ‘down under’.
Richard Chesher, author of the Rocket Guides to New Caledonia and Vanuatu and a long-term liveaboard in the South Pacific, has been a steadfast supporter of Noonsite for many years. As he continues cruising and updating his guides, Richard regularly shares valuable information with Noonsite, and we greatly appreciate this close collaboration.
The Pacific Crossing Guide is a complete reference for anyone contemplating sailing the Pacific. Francis Hawkings, Author of the 4th edition (published October 2024), produces annual supplements to the guide and works closely with Noonsite to share useful cruising updates and articles about cruising the Pacific. Francis has based his Tradewind 35, Plainsong, in the Pacific since 1993. He has cruised extensively in the South and North Pacific, the South Atlantic and the Caribbean. Plainsong is now heading generally west to complete a slow circumnavigation and is currently exploring SE Asia.

Many Noonsite users are fans of noforeignland , created by long-term cruising couple Steve and Helena and kept up to date by the cruising community. The platform offers yacht tracking and makes it easy to connect with other boaters worldwide and share the latest information on preferred ports and anchorages. It’s completely free to use, supported only by voluntary donations. Noonsite and noforeignland share important cruising intel and updates to help cruisers be better-informed and sail safer and smarter.

Waterway Guide Media are new collaborators, keen to share accurate and reliable cruising information to benefit cruisers worldwide. Established in 1947, Waterway Guide provides verified data and local knowledge for boaters across North America and the Bahamas, with regularly updated information on marinas, anchorages, fuel, and navigation alerts. Their extensive data is shared through partner platforms such as AquaMap, Savvy Navvy, Raymarine, and iNavX.
